The Little Things
I received my first camera for my 16th birthday – a Minolta FS-E that I still have, and some years later my Dad passed on his Canon EOS1000 film camera. I have loved photography ever since.
A childhood spent largely outdoors, and with parents that instilled a love of wildlife, I have always been drawn to beautiful wild places, and to the creatures that inhabit them.
Most at home deep in a forest, or exploring a rugged coastline, it is the little things that fascinate me most, and whilst I love to capture photographs of the landscapes I explore, I am happiest photographing the insects, spiders and fungi I share those spaces with. Especially if I have a cup of Yorkshire Tea to hand, and a good snack (or two).
UK born, but now residing in Perth, Western Australia, I split my time between home and assisting Cam Blake Photography with workshops around Australia and abroad.
I have a passion for helping other people to enjoy their photography, and hope that my photographs of the tiny things can help people to realise how beautiful and fascinating they can be (even the eight-legged ones!).
